The hotel is conveniently located near the platform of the boats, making it a great choice for those looking to explore the city by water. The rooms, available in different sizes, are well-equipped with a refrigerator and offer good Internet access. Additionally, the staff is attentive and the breakfast is satisfying.
No issues encountered.

Great breakfast! The dining room was very comfortable. You can rent bikes and they are well maintained. The speed and quality of the wlan was adequate, although for the price you pay, this should be expected.
Staff was unfriendly, the room reeked of smoke (even for a "non-smoker" room), the walls were paper thin, wlan is pricey, the shared bathroom was often in use because only one exists for about 10 rooms, and the next nearest one is in a different section of the building. It also includes the shower, so if someone uses it, you'll need to hike around a bit if you need to use the toilet (this was most problematic in the morning). In short, if you choose this hotel, try not to choose the shared bathroom option.

The breakfast buffet and service were excellent. I had the cheapest single room "with shared shower/WC in Hallway", which looked like it was going to be shared by 4 rooms. But in fact the room includes a water basin and there are 2 shower/WC, one for men and one for women. These are very clean and I never met anyone in the hallway. For transportation, the nearby bus-stop is very convenient. To go to the University on foot, turn left as you exit the hotel and find your way through little paths. The reception indicated to turn right, but it is a much longer route.
I booked this hotel one day before arrival. I chose it to have access to the free wi-fi in public areas, included in the booking. This was not available when I came. The hotel staff explained that the hotel had been trying but failed to install it in the past week (which means my booking was illegal)... I could use an internet-cafe room instead, but I had to get a key from the reception to have access and it was not convenient for me to use a german keyboard, so I did not use this facility after trying once.

We had a fantastic stay at Ghotel Hotel & Living. The room was spacious and comfortable with a great view of the courtyard. Despite being in the city, it was surprisingly quiet. The staff were incredibly helpful, even directing us to a nearby Greek restaurant when the hotel restaurant was closed. The breakfast was superb and we appreciated the allowance of late check-out. we highly recommend Ghotel Hotel & Living for a cozy and enjoyable stay in Kiel.

Silent, close to the bus stop, good breakfast, spacey lobby, and with a very affordable price.

Breakfast was great. Very quiet location with free, on-site parking. Spacious room and bathroom. Comfortable beds.
No elevator - you get a room key that requires yo to lock the door when inside and leaving - outdated tv set - internet not included in room rate - despite plenty of parking it's hard to find a free space after 10 pm.

The room we stayed in was quite spacious and comfortable, with a lovely view of the surroundings. We particularly enjoyed having access to the small round table and chairs for romantic meals. It was very convenient that there was free parking for our car and a computer station available to use.
The hotel was quite far away from the main attractions and restaurants in the city center, and there was no nearby public transportation. We were also disappointed with the limited breakfast options and the lack of a restaurant within the hotel or nearby.
